Venkatesh Maha Empowers Change, delete Account Amidst Salaar Controversy – Part 1 Ceasefire

Venkatesh  maha took to his X account to share a picture of a movie ticket, writing about how excited he was to catch Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki on the day of its release on December 21. At the time he made this post, the trailer for Prabhas’ Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire was released but he failed to comment on it.

Fans lost their cool, assuming that Venkatesh was, once again, shading Prashanth’s film. Prabhas’ fans trolled him for supporting a Bollywood film over one with a Tollywood star and accused him of being impartial towards Prashanth.

Venkatesh Maha is a filmmaker, screenwriter, and actor from India, active in the Telugu cinema industry. He has gained recognition for his directorial contributions to films like C/o Kancharapalem and Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya

Venkatesh utilized his X account to express his excitement about watching Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki on its release day, December 21, by sharing a picture of the movie ticket. Interestingly, he didn’t acknowledge the release of the trailer for Prabhas’ Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire at that time.

Fans became upset, presuming that Venkatesh  maha was, yet again, subtly criticizing Prashanth’s film. The trolling ensued as Prabhas’ fans criticized him for favoring a Bollywood film over one featuring a Tollywood star, accusing him of partiality towards Prashanth.

The reason why

Previously, Venkatesh  maha faced allegations of casting a shadow on Yash’s KGF. During an interview with Prema, he seemingly alluded to the plot of the film when he remarked, “In this movie I don’t want to name, I want to meet this utterly selfish woman who advises her son to amass wealth through whichever means. She wants him to rule the world.

We celebrate the hero and laud his efforts when he builds narrow cubicles for people who dig up gold for him. He takes all that gold for himself. What are we telling our audience? Why is the audience making these films big hits?”

Venkatesh’s response

Prior to deactivating his X account, Venkatesh clarified that he holds a positive regard for Prabhas and expressed his desire to collaborate with him in the future. He stated, “Ok guys, calm down. I think you are mistaking a coincidence. I have no other intentions while writing my previous post than sharing my excitement for Dunki. I just got to know that the trailer of Salaar got released after your comments.”

Venkatesh urged fans to refrain from making assumptions, saying, “Stop talking without knowing facts, guys. I am a big fan of Prabhas garu since his first film, and I always wished to work with him. There were many instances I openly said it.

I just watched the trailer of Salaar too, and it looks amazing. Just don’t create a mess for everything and alter the facts. I told you not to do this just a few days ago; I think it is time for you guys to move on from me.”

Venkatesh  maha, renowned for directing critically acclaimed films like C/o Kancharapalem (2018) and Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya (2020), recently shared a snapshot of the movie ticket he secured for the opening day of Dunki. The Telugu filmmaker found himself accused of indirectly criticizing the Telugu action film in favor of the Bollywood production.

Alongside his ticket, he expressed his anticipation, stating, “All set for Dunki on the 1st day! Can’t wait to see my favorite Shah Rukh Khan in Rajkumar Hirani’s creative world! Heard there was a standing ovation at the Censor Board screening. If that is true, I believe it is going to be a roller coaster ride of emotions for all the film lovers!”

Facing criticism from Prabhas fans on the micro-blogging platform, Venkatesh clarified his intentions, stating, “Ok guys, calm down. I think you are mistaking a coincidence. I have no other intentions while writing my previous post than sharing my excitement for Dunki. I just got to know that the trailer of Salaar got released after your comments. Stop talking without knowing facts, guys.”

In response to the backlash from Prabhas fans, Venkatesh  maha continued to address the situation on the micro-blogging platform. He emphasized that the fans were misconstruing the sequence of events and intentions behind his previous post.

In his attempt to set the record straight, Venkatesh  maha penned a clarification that aimed to dispel any misunderstandings.

“Stop talking without knowing facts, guys,” he urged, “I am a big fan of Prabhas garu since his first film, and I always wished to work with him. There were many instances I openly said it. I just watched the trailer of Salaar too, and it looks amazing.

Just don’t create a mess for everything and alter the facts. I told you not to do this just a few days ago; I think it is time for you guys to move on from me.”

Despite the controversy, Venkatesh Maha remained firm in his admiration for both Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas, reiterating his enthusiasm for their respective films.
